I like this style gown but it has a problem I've found in all the Peter Pan gowns I've bought. The button holes are too tight, and even tighter after the gown has been washed. I've had to cut them all open a tiny bit. I don't find this problem in other styles.
The nightgown is warm yet soft, and of very good quality. It is not easy to find nightgowns that are both warm and comfortable to wear at night, but this one is exactly what I was searching for my Mom. Also, I am a returning customer. I have purchased other gowns from this company before, and because I liked the quality, I decided to try more of their products.
Side note: the customer service was very helpful during the purchase.
No one makes 100% cotton flannel nightgowns with a collar anymore, except Lanz of Salzburg. I bought one for my mother about 40 years ago and she now lives in it since she is 93. I couldn't believe they still make them. The quality and sizing was exactly the same.
This gown was a replacement for the plaid gown with the same Peter Pan collar. I ordered up TWO sizes since the first one shrunk so much. The print on this one is cute and folky. The style is comfortable; but: the LENGTH is TOO SHORT. Who in the world wants a “waltz length “ winter gown? By the time it is washed and dried it is 6” too short and the cold winter air swirls around one’s ankles. Also, as in the plaid gown, the fabric is thinner than past gowns I have purchased from Lanz. I always bought Lanz because it was a “premium brand” and was known for its quality. Now it seems it is just another company that has outsourced to China. The “bottom line” seems to have won instead of superior workmanship.
I have worn Lanz nightgowns for 60 years, and this is my very favorite of all time! I LOVE the print and the colors, and the flannel is extra soft and wonderful!
This is my third Lanz gown. Winter has been brutal this year. I surely am enjoying them. Excellent fabric. Well-made. Plenty of room thru the shoulders and arms. Thank you Lanz. Quality is your middle name.
I love Lanz flannel nightgowns and this one is no exception. The flannel is soft and heavy enough to be warm during the cold winters of New England. The fit is good and the sleeves are long enough. The pattern is beautiful but bright. I told my husband that I felt like a Christmas tree wearing it and he was going to throw tinsel on me. lol. All joking aside, Lanz has spoiled me. Their flannel nightgowns never disappoint me - they’re true to size, sleeves are long enough, warm and comfy, wash well, and last for years. My absolute favorite flannel nightgowns.
My new Peter Pan collar flannel gowns are as soft and cozy as Lanz of Salzburg have always been. I’ve been wearing this brand for over 40 years and the excellent quality remains the same. I’m still wearing the first ones I ever bought! Keep up the good work!
The flannel is nice and soft, thick and warm. The pattern is beautiful and the collar and buttons are a great addition. I am wearing this as a winter robe rather than nightgown (it has handy pockets). I did size down as per the item description and it still has plenty of room. The only issue I had was that the red cardinals on the pattern ran a bit in a cold, delicate wash. But it's still a winner in my book.
Went for the collar design to change things up! I’ve been wearing my other Lanz gowns forever, but they refuse to wear out! This is a perfect additional style, and just as soft and luxurious as my other Lanz gowns! A great choice!
